I have been making totally ENGLISH bespoke baskets for over 40 years.
I became an apprentice basket maker at the age of 17 in 1985. My day started at 8am and finished at 4pm Monday to Friday for £50 a week. This was in the largest and most well known basket making company in Brighton. I became a full time professional after a few years of being tutored in the traditional way.
I have made all sorts of bespoke English willow basketware props, for Steven Spielburg (Masters of the Air) appleTV + Ridley Scott (Gladiator II) to name a few for their use in Major Movie Feature Films, TV Channels & Theatres like the London Palladium (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang).
Also all 28 NATO Prime-ministers & Presidents on their 70th anniversary in London in 2019.
I also produce my own brand of individual, unique, artistic pieces to my own personal bespoke designs, weaves & colours.
I am now recently semi-retired after 40 years in the business and only produce items, if they are of interest to me.
