Wholly Native Coffins
These normally take two weeks to produce. 10 days to soak and prepare the green willows (any willows with their skins still on), then another week to hand produce the coffin itself. So 3 weeks notice is advised if wanting this type of willow.
If speed is essential then buff willow is the go too, which is actually the green boiled then skin stripped off. Which produces a brown (toffee) colour that can be soaked within a few hours, rather than days.
My company's ethos – Is to look after mother nature by using only natural, bio-degradable, sustainable, English willows which are indigenous and carbon capuring ethical materials. As all materials are indigenous this keeps the my Carbon footprint as low as humanly possible.
For these reasons I have decided to start producing my own green burial coffins. As I have found that all other coffin makers have used some form of foreign materials in their production. Either Asian bamboo as stakes in the lids, foreign rope materials that are not grown in England for their carrying handles. Plus plywood bases for cremation and plastic sheet linings etc the list goes on. These can have toxic glues like formaldehyde within so should not be used unless confirmed are safe in green burial sites .
So I came to the conclusion that if you really want something done properly, you have to do it yourself. So I have sourced only English grown Ash for the bottom stakes to hold the overall necessary weight. English grown willows for the whole bodywork and handles. No string and toggles for the lid catches but instead plaited willow latches.
So you can be sure the the carbon foot print is to the minimum as all materials are grown and sourced with in England. These are truely the Premier English indigenous coffins made in England. If you are interested in purchasing one of my deluxe coffins for your loved one or yourself. Please get in contact to discuss your size requirements. I make these in set sizes for stock but can make one to specific sizes given enough time.

The One 6 foot Coffin in stock is actually the one in all the pictures, that I've used as illustration this web-page on my website.

I made it a personal mission of mine. As I had found out that every coffin that I had investigated was either imported or had used materials that were imported. For example bamboo used as stakes in their lids or Asian rope materials used instead of English rope for the handles. I have sourced only UK grown and native materials to use in my coffins even the lining is environmentally safe with no form of plastic anywhere. So these are totally Native English through and though. I do not know of any other coffin producer to go to this length to be able to say the same as what I have above.
